I spent half of the day yesterday stuck in Cape Cod traffic. It's amazing just how many want to go to a place where there's really nothing much to do but sit in traffic. I don't mean to beat a dead horse but I really, really, don't get it. Massachusetts, very kooky. I went out for pizza with the wife and kids and we came across a Mexican food/pizza place. Not wanting to subject my taste buds to either cape cod pizza or mexican, I of course had the turkey sandwich. We did have some quality time though, I Took the kids fishing yesterday and we all caught some mammoth fish with frightening, pointy teeth and dangerous spines. Actually most of my time fishing was spent untangling my son's Pirates of the Caribbean fishing rod line, it was thrilling.
Took a trip out to visit my wife's 88 year old grandmother at her retirement home. She's a wonderful old lady and very sharp. She had 9 friggin' kids and is the sweetest old Irish lady you'll ever meet with a head of white hair and a wicked Boston accent. I asked her what she thought of John McCain she said, "He belongs in here more than I do." It's a bit depressing visiting an old folks home besides the smell of old folks and moth balls, you notice that there are no men. They're all dead, all that is left are the little old women that killed them. Speaking of dying that's one less trip to the cape I'll have to make before the big ol' dirtnap. Thank God.

malach: i know you're making fun of P-town because of all the gays but it's the only town I actually like. My wife's uncle had a beach house there and a 60 ft. schooner out of p-town and before you think it...he was straight, had 8 kids from 4 different women. Just like key west or san francisco or the west village, wherever the gays are, there's usually good stuff.
If I end up widowed and in a nursing home, they had better have a full bar, is all I've got to say about that.
